How do I password-protect a .ZIP file?

When using eZip Wizard to create a .ZIP file, you can protect the contents with a password. No one will be able to unzip your new .ZIP file unless they know the password.

Adding a password is easy! As you click through the wizard to create your .ZIP file, you will reach the options panel, shown below. Click the Password tab to display the entry boxes for your password.

Follow these steps to add a password to your .ZIP file:

1. Enter a password in the Password field. Remember, passwords are case-sensitive!
2. Now enter the same password in the Confirm Password field. Enter it EXACTLY the same way!
3. Once you have keyed the same password into the Confirm Password field, a message will appear "Your Password has been set. Select Next> to continue."

NOTE: If you do not enter the password IDENTICALLY in both password fields, the password will not be set!
