What's new in eSpace Analyst v2.00?
eSpace Analyst V2.00, which is compatible with Windows 2000 and XP, has a lot of new functionality and improvements.
Here's what's new:
Scanning Process Improvements
- New and improved user interface.
- Very fast scan process.
- Easily abort the scanning process without eSpace Analyst closing.
- Option to scan files by using the wizard interface or by using the main scan window.
Scanning Option Improvements
- Ability to narrow your scan to specific criteria such as file size, date or type
prior to scanning.
- Easily specify the cluster size prior to scanning.
- Ability to scan for duplicate files.
- Ability to scan for files that take up "X" percent of space on your drive.
- Ability to scan for specific type of files (i.e. .zip, .exe, etc.). eSpace automatically includes all the file types on your computer in a drop
down box so you can easily select your criteria.
- Easily determine old files that have not been accessed for "X" amount of time.
- Quickly scan mapped, removable and network drives.
Reporting Enhancements
- New and improved Drive Analysis Report.
- New and improved Folders and Files Report.
- Ability to drill down through a directory structure by clicking the folder in the Folders and Files Report.
- Ability to select/deselect the information you want to appear in the Folders and Files Report after a scan.
- Ability to save the Drive Analysis Report.
- Choose from 20 different types of charts and graphs.
- Ability to customize the charts and graphs.
Other Enhancements
- Quickly open Windows Explorer from Espace Analyst.
- Ability to clean junk files from eSpace Analyst such as Cookies, History and Temporary Internet files.
Blooper Fixes
- eSpace V1.10 would receive an error when scanning a partitioned drive. This has been corrected in V2.0.
- From the Folders and Files View, you can easily delete multiple folders and files without receiving an error.
- Improved Printing! When printing the reports and graphs, numbers no longer get truncated.
- Improved reporting. At times, eSpace Analyst would not display the correct statistics about a drive. This has been corrected in V2.0.
